Salesforce Ad — LinkedIn: InMails from “Salesforce for Small Business”

Why it works

On LinkedIn the trial arrives in the inbox, sent from a “Salesforce for Small Business” page. The newest version has three buttons: “Try free for 30 days” opens the trial page, while “What’s included?” and “See a customer story” continue the conversation inside LinkedIn. Other versions don’t send anyone to the website at all: “Sign Up” opens LinkedIn’s own form in the inbox (“Sign up now and we’ll reach out to help you get started”). In Southeast Asia the message names the reader’s country and company (“running a small business in Thailand… it’s holding %COMPANYNAME% back”) and swaps the free trial for a switching discount: 40% off, 20% in Singapore.
