Prose makes shampoo, conditioner and stylers to order, each formula built from a long online consultation about your hair, habits and zip code. The consultation is the funnel: its ads skip the homepage and land on the first question, the email gate sits two-thirds of the way through, and the results page is a cart already filled with products bearing your name. It also runs one of the few paid win-back campaigns captured here, aimed at customers who stopped ordering.
