Tony's Acoustic Challenge Ad — “Dabbler or Guitar Player?” (March test)

Why it works

Part of a March 2026 test: four ads each went to their own pain-point site, and this one went to a chatbot on a separate domain, guitarclass.tv. All of them stopped within three weeks; the pages are still up. The copy sets up a two-way choice, “Which one are you right now?”, and the chatbot opens with a question of the same shape. It promises a “30-minute web class”: the class is 36 minutes in other ads, “about 25” on one landing page, and 53 on the video.

The copy, in full

A guitar instructor once told me there are only two types of guitar students: Dabblers and Guitar Players. Dabblers find something exciting, play it for a while, fizzle out, then don't touch their guitar for weeks. When they come back, they start over from scratch. Years go by. Almost nothing to show for it. Guitar Players are different. Not because they're more talented. Because they're consistent. They show up, even for just 10 minutes. They play things slightly above their skill level. And they build on what they learned yesterday instead of starting over every time. The gap between these two isn't talent or time. It's having a system that makes showing up easy, fun, and automatic. Which one are you right now? Which one do you want to be? I've spent over a decade figuring out the exact framework that has now turned 41K+ dabblers into guitar players. I break down the whole thing in a free 30-minute web class: the 3 secrets, the 5 core skills that actually matter, and how to build a daily guitar habit that sticks... even if you only have 10 minutes. By the end, you'll know exactly what to do tomorrow when you pick up your guitar.
