Why it works

First name, last name and email, "to continue the consultation and unlock your exclusive offer", with no way past it. It arrives after 33 screens of Prose's hair consultation, when the visitor has answered twenty-eight questions and is told only a few remain. That is the sunk-cost version of a lead form: the ask is small next to what has already been given, and walking away now wastes all of it. The only escape is "Already gave us your email? Resume here.", which leads to a sign-in, not a skip.
